Liverpool will be hoping their perfect start to their Europa League campaign continues tonight when they host French side Toulouse at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp's side currently sit top of their group after securing wins over LASK and Union Saint-Gilloise. Toulouse, meanwhile, are also unbeaten after drawing 1-1 with Union Saint-Gilloise and beating LASK 1-0.

Liverpool are among the favourites to lift the trophy in Dublin next May and a win over Toulouse will go a long way to ensuring they finish top of their group and go straight through to the last 16. Ahead of the game, here are the latest headlines from Anfield...

Bellingham 'could ruin Musiala plan'

Liverpool missed out on signing Jude Bellingham this summer and the Real Madrid midfielder could now impact their pursuit of Jamal Musiala.

The Reds are reportedly considering a move for the Bayern Munich star, but Sky Sports Germany state that Real are also interested and that Bellingham's friendship with Musiala could give them the edge over Liverpool.

Alisson makes consistency admission

Alisson believes Liverpool are lacking consistency this season, despite their only loss in all competitions coming in controversial fashion.

"Time-wise we are only three months from the start of the rebuilding of this team and this is a really short time to say we've reached our highest level. So I think we have so many spaces for improvement, but that doesn't mean the team is bad - it's the opposite.

"We are doing really well in games and doing really good things, but I think we are lacking consistency so far. We have to improve to get more of it and defensively we can improve more. Consistency means we have to play the full game doing the good stuff defensive-wise and offensive-wise."

Former Reds star could be sacked

Mamadou Sakho, who made 80 appearances for Liverpool, is facing the sack at current club Montpellier with reports from France claiming he attacked his manager in training.

Sakho is said to have exchanged words with Michel Der Zakarian before grabbing him by his collar and knocking him on the ground. The incident allegedly occurred after Sakho felt he had been fouled during training, but Der Zakarian disagreed.

L'Equipe state that Montpellier are now considering disciplinary action, with a possible termination of Sakho's contract among their options. Sakho joined Montpellier in 2021 after his Crystal Palace contract expired and has gone on to make 49 appearances for them.
