DAVID and Victoria Beckham have won permission to turn a barn at their £12million Cotswolds mansion into offices despite neighbour's fury.

The footballing legend, 48, and ex-Spice Girl, 49, asked for permission to create three separate office spaces in the building, plus a bathroom in the grounds of their country retreat.

The power couple have now been granted three years to begin work on the development.

Posh and Becks also asked to install new skylights and the workspaces will be accessed by an external wooden staircase.

David currently keeps his gardening equipment in the barn.

The picturesque property featured in the Manchester United icon's four-part Netflix documentary where he says: "I wanted a place where we could escape. As soon as I get into the countryside.

"I normally get into my country get-up which I'm not in now. I've got a stick, I walk around, sit out here with a cup of coffee.

"My favourite view of the house. I can also see Victoria if she's naked in the top window."

But not everyone is as happy with the decision as Posh and Becks.

The famous pair are already at loggerheads with locals over plans to build a greenhouse at their multi-million pound home.

He has just been granted planning permission by the local council to build a kitchen garden and greenhouse in the grounds of his home.

But a separate application to create a new road to his property has angered locals.

It's caused several neighbours to write letters of complaint to the council, with one furious letter saying: "I believe, as do many in the surrounding area suggest, the applicants want a longer drive into their property, rather than the short drive from the lane they currently use to have access to their property.

"This may because the public have access all the way down this lane because it is a public road.

"I have been speaking to people in the business of supplying greenhouses in the United Kingdom all have said this greenhouse could be erected within a period of two to three months at the most.

"Why do the applicants require a temporary construct on access for two years on a public footpath?

"I am always amazed at those who come to live in the countryside and then want to bring in suburbia, they are not content to live in a natural country environment."

The Beckhams live in an eight-bedroom £25million mansion in west London, as well as owning the sprawling home in the Cotswolds.

It's no secret that the famous couple spend quite a bit of time in Miami due to David owning football team Inter Miami.

They own a £20million penthouse in the exclusive One Hundred Museum building.

David's football club has become the must-see sports team in the States after he managed to lure the greatest player of all time, Lionel Messi, to American shores to play for his franchise.

And the World Cup winner's wife Antonela Roccuzzo recently went out for a girls lunch with none other than Victoria Beckham.
