Now former Strictly professional dancer Joanne has predicted Giovanni will follow in his co-star Anton Du Beke’s footsteps and become a judge.
Speaking to The Sun on behalf of Betway Slots, Joanne said: "Many of us would like to have a go at judging.
What Ola and James Jordan really ate and did to shed 7st"I completely get why Anton wanted to. I can see Giovanni Pernice going for it in a couple of years’ time.
"He could definitely be a type of Bruno Tonioli on the panel as him and Anton have their show together. He has a great personality."
Anton joined Strictly as a pro dancer in the first ever series in 2004, when it was hosted by his idol Bruce Forsyth,
He was offered the chance to replace Bruno Tonioli full-time last year alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse.
Giovanni made his debut on Strictly back in 2015.
Over the years he has been partnered with former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote, presenter Laura Whitmore, TV personality Debbie McGee, Steps star Faye Tozer and RuPaul's Drag Race judge Michelle Visage.
He won series 19 with EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who was Strictly's first-ever deaf contestant.
