Tommy Fury has made over £20million in his 10-fight professional boxing career, according to his brother Tyson.

Love Island star Fury achieved unprecedented levels of fame when he won the UK reality TV series alongside fiancee Molly-Mae Hague in 2018. Fury made his professional debut later that year and racked up eight wins before crossing over to the influencer boxing scene for fights against Jake Paul and KSI.

Paul suffered his first boxing loss at the hands of Fury in February as he was beaten by split decision whilst KSI also lost on points to the Brit earlier this month. Fury earned eight-figure paydays for both of the fights and heavyweight champion Tyson, who fights Francis Ngannou this Saturday, has admitted he is immensely proud of his younger brother.

“The fact that Tommy made $10million for this fight and he’s 24 years old, has probably made $25/$26million in his 10-fight career, it’s unbelievable," Fury said on The MMA Hour. "I’m very very proud of where he’s come from. In 2018, Tommy didn’t have $10 for a bus pass. Today, Tommy has got a hell of a lot of money. Millions of dollars in his account, so I’m very proud of him.

"He can buy what he wants, he’s got a $5million mansion. G-Wagons, Lambos, Rolexes, the guy is flying. Regardless of all of these fights he’s had with Jake Paul and whoever else. It’s show business, these fights with KSI, Dillon Danis, Jake and Logan Paul. Whoever these influencers are, this is show business. It’s bringing millions of eyes to the boxing world and the boxing world should be very appreciative of it."

Influencer boxing has attracted its fair share of critics over the years as many boxing purists think it's damaging to the sport. Tyson disagrees with this notion as he thinks the more youngsters that are inspired by their idols to lace up the gloves can only benefit boxing."

“They could have picked any sport to train for, they could have picked MMA and that would have got all of the views," ," he added. "I’m happy that all of these guys come into boxing and they’re bringing new fans. It’s crazy the amount of people in Manchester the other night that were young families with their kids."
