A man who bagged a whopping £8million jackpot has been ridiculed after his girlfriend was filmed blowing her nose with a €500 (£436) note.
Kursat Yildirim, who is also known as Chico, won £8.75 million after he took part in Germany's lotto in Dortmund, last September. The 42-year-old quit his job as a crane operator and went on a huge spending spree, where he splashed out €1.5m (£1.3m) within a month.
The reformed fraudster said he would never become an "arrogant person" following his win. "Believe me, I'll never forget where I'm coming from. I'm working class, I'll never become an arrogant person," he said. But now, his girlfriend, called Candice N, has been caught on camera pretending to be upset as the lottery winner passes her the hefty note so she could wipe her tears.
Candice, who is a policewoman, is heard saying: "The world is so mean to me. Everyone is annoying me. The internet hates me!" She then uses the banknote to wipe her tears and asks for another one because her nose is running. Yildirim then pulls out the bill from his pocket and hands it over to her, which she then uses to wipe her tears. The 36-year-old woman says: "Thank you. This is so sad." She then puts the banknote in her pocket as he jokingly begs her to stop crying, before she continues: "I need another tissue sweetheart. Please, my nose is running, thank you." Another huge note is whipped out, and she wipes her face again.
In the video description, she wrote: "Haters, do what you love to do. For everyone else, don't take this too seriously." The clip was reportedly made to mock online critics who accused him of wasting his lottery fortune just 13 months after his big win, reports Daily Star. However, his actions only sparked more fury, with many responding with clown emojis. One person commented: "soon he will run out of money". Another added: "When the money is gone, you don't have to act anymore."

He also spent another £178,000 on a Porsche Turbo S Cabriolet, and bought luxury apartments, designer clothes, and gifts for friends and family. He's also treated himself to designer watches from high-end brands like Rolex, Prada, Gucci, and Versace, and owns lavish flats in Germany and Istanbul. He has won the lottery three times since his huge win and pocketed £1,500 six weeks after his jackpot fortune. In a recent chat with German media, he shared his dream of becoming an actor, saying he knows real-life crime. He confessed: "I wish with all my heart that I could one day play in a Dortmund crime scene. I grew up in the northern part of the city, was a drug addict, at the very bottom. I often had to act and fool people."
