Matthew Perry previously got emotional when talking about his bond with his former co-stars.
The actor, who played Chandler Bing in 90s sitcom Friends, spoke about his "special" and unbreakable connection with his co-stars Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt Le Blanc. The show ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.
During a reunion episode back in 2021, Matthew shared that starring in the show "changed his life." He said: "I got the show when I was a 24-year-old man; the show ended when I was 34. It formed my life. And it was the time of my life.
"The best way that I can describe it is after the show was over, at a party or any kind of social gathering, if one of us bumped into each other, that was it. That was the end of the night. You just sat with the person all night long and that was it.

Brad Pitt details his favourite sex scene - and it wasn't with Angelina Jolie"You apologised to the people you were with, but they had to understand you had met somebody special to you and you were going to talk to that person for the rest of the night. And that’s the way it worked," Matthew continued. "It’s certainly the way it worked with all of us. It’s just the way it is."
In another interview with People in 2022, he also shared that his cast mates were supportive of him during the show. He said: "They were understanding, and they were patient, it's like penguins.
"In nature, when one is sick or very injured, the other penguins surround it and prop it up and walk around until that penguin can walk on its own. And that's kind of what the cast did for me."
Matthew died at the age of 54, with famous friends and fans paying tribute to the late star. The actor was known for his brave and honest account of battling numerous addictions at the height of his fame.
Speaking in his autobiography last year, Perry revealed he almost died numerous times and spent millions of dollars in a desperate bid to stay clean. Matthew once said he could never watch Friends because he could tell what substance he was using at the time of filming.
