ASHLEY Cain's family has praised his ex Safiyya Vorajee as the "most dedicated mummy".

Safiyya, 36, and 33-year-old Ashley's daughter Azaylia tragically passed away from a rare form of cancer two years ago at just eight-months-old.

Last week Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ashley revealed he is set to welcome a little boy with a close friend in January.

Now his sister Alissia has heaped praise on Safiyya for her dedication to Azaylia's fight.

In a clip posted on Instagram from an appearance on The Blue Tick Show, Safiyya was seen opening up about the incredibly difficult period of time when Azaylia was in hospital.

She captioned the clip: "Learning how to become an oncology mummy 8 weeks after giving birth, understanding medical terms and how to help my baby so she could be in the strongest position to fight the monster

"Over again until it sank it, until I understood what was happening with my baby. Your world is shattered and as a new mummy your brain and body is all over the place, never feel embarrassed to ask for more help and support."

Ashley's sister commented: "I can stand by this 100%, no stone was left unturned and you passed the knowledge onto as many as possible - we felt like we should have worn nurse gowns too in the end! The most dedicated mummy."

Speaking to The Sun last week Ashley revealed his strength was tested again when he and his unborn son's mother discovered at the 20-week scan that their baby has a potential heart defect.

He said: “They couldn’t find the connection between one of the valves and the heart so it was another very difficult time for me.

“I had already been through a really tough journey with Azaylia. I had already lost a child and I was worried and scared that it could happen again.”

He continued: “For the weeks that passed, there was a lot of worry and concern until the final check-up in which they thought everything will be OK.

“He has got to go for a scan as soon as he is born to make sure and double check.

“I am saying my prayers, believing positive things and getting myself in the right mind frame either way to be there for her and my son.”
