Comedian Katherine Ryan has hit back at mum shamers after they slammed her for her new home decor.
The comedian is a mum of three, including two young children, and shared her living room makeover on Instagram as she showed off a huge white new sofa in her London mansion. However, after proudly showing off her gorgeous new settee she was flooded with comments from fans labelling the new furniture as "madness".
Yet now the comedian has hit back at the comments, as she revealed she doesn't rise to them and in fact they 'roll off her back'. The original Instagram reveal attracted comments from fans, including one fan who said: "I mean I love it too but have you sold the children?" Another wrote: "White sofa with kids, madness." A third shared: "You’re very brave going for that colour with a young family." A fourth added: "Awesome. Will pair lovely with baby sick and dirty hands."
Speaking about the comments to The Sun, Katherine said: "I feel like I'll have a glass of white wine while I'm breastfeeding and that's fine. I'll have a white sofa because it's a beautiful sofa. I'll just do whatever I want and just because someone criticises what you're doing, it doesn't make them right. It just really rolls off my back."
Last month Katherine was one of the famous faces leading the charge to boycott ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2023 over its inclusion of Nigel Farage. The Canadian comedian slammed ITV for 'glorifying' controversial politicians, accusing the network of "reducing them to light entertainment fodder."
Katherine Ryan and Jimmy Carr leave fans 'screaming at the TV' on Limitless WinKatherine, 42, added that UKIP leader Farage and Matt Hancock, who placed third on the reality show last year, are "very dangerous" and have "directly hurt lots of families." She also confirmed she would not be tuning into the 2023 series, having also refused to watch it last year over the former Health Secretary's participation.
Katherine also revealed that ITV had approached her to join the jungle before but that she wouldn't be able to commit to the series because of her parenting duties. "They’ve checked my availability in the past maybe, but I’ve always had small children and I wouldn’t be away from them in Australia for 30 days, I just wouldn’t," she told Metro.
