He said: "That was the night Jamie Lynn went and we had to all huddle, because the only place that's protected in there from the lightning.

"So when the lightning comes in camp, you have to go into the Bush Telegraph because it's the only place that is reinforced with steel.

"So we're all in there. And we were in there for ages.

"That was the worst night by far because it was it was 48 hours non stop."

The actor went on to explain how the team would go back out after the lightning passed, but the rain would still seep through a canopy which was placed over the camp.

"The rain still comes in from the side when it's tropical like that," he added.

It's no secret that contestants lose a considerable amount of weight during their time on the show.

Nick shared the he lost a total of one stone and three pounds, mentioning that everyone in camp goes for regular weigh-ins.

He explained: "They weigh you at certain points during the trials and things because there are weight restrictions like on the Critter Mixer and I was trying to look(at the scales) but the medic wouldn't show me.

"So it makes it all the more interesting when you come out.

"One of the ladies said to me when I was in there said to me to be careful what I ate when I came out today because I had been on a balanced diet.

"I said that is the understatement of the year. A balanced diet? I have been starving."

The star also revealed that the producers don't allow the campers to know what time it is while in the Australian outback.

"It is a little bit overwhelming when you come out. You don't know what time it is in there, I still don't know what time it gets light here," he said.

"We must be getting up about quarter to five every day, but you don't know that is the time.

"All the crew have got plasters on their watch and some don't even wear watches because they are told not to give us the time."

Nick became the fourth campmate to be eliminated from the Australian jungle in Wednesday's episode.

The star lost out to Josie Gibson in the public vote after they both unexpectedly came in the bottom two in the latest elimination.

On Tuesday, Fred Sirieix exited the I'm A Celebrity camp, marking the third celebrity to be voted out, after the eliminations of Nella Rose and Frankie Dettori in the first two rounds.

Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent both previously exited the jungle after separately quitting on medical grounds.
