NFL legend Tom Brady and Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds have both invested in football clubs, with both men boasting net worths of $300million (£236m).

Brady, whose net worth is $300m, as reported by Celebrity Net Worth, has entered the world of football by investing in Championship side Birmingham City. Brady announced his retirement from American football in 2023 after playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years.

He was involved in the selection process of Wayne Rooney as Birmingham's new manager, but the appointment has yet to be justified, with the ex-Manchester United striker winning only one of his first eight matches. During a game against Rotherham, where Brady was present, the crowd booed him, and Birmingham City's fans demanded Rooney's dismissal.

During his 23 seasons in the NFL, Brady reportedly earned an incredible $333m (£262m) from his players' salaries. In terms of sponsorships, he made $31m (£24m) in endorsements in 2022 alone, according to Forbes.

Brady founded TB12, a sports nutrition brand and supplements line, a sportswear line, and two production companies—Religion of Sports and 199 Productions, with Michael Strahan, a former football player. Brady's net worth is expected to increase even further, as he recently agreed to a 10-year, $375m (£295m) deal with FOX to become their lead NFL analyst.

Reynolds, meanwhile, has been working on increasing the popularity of Wrexham through his TV show "Welcome to Wrexham." He has also managed to turn the Welsh club into a winning machine. Wrexham's manager, Phil Parkinson, had previously spoken about the club's challenges before the new ownership arrived.

He emphasized the significant positive changes Reynolds and co-owner Rob McElhenney brought about. Parkinson confirmed that the Hollywood duo is actively involved in the club's affairs, but he clarified that they do not interfere with the selection of the team lineup. When asked on talkSPORT , Parkinson said: "Very much so. Ryan is going to be here for a while, the next few months. Rob and Ryan are very interested in the players we sign and what team we are selecting and watch every single game over from America, and yeah, they are really, really involved."

Beyond ownership, Reynolds, who is believed to be worth $350m (£275m), has gained recognition for his compassionate involvement with the club. Notably, he extended support to midfielder Anthony Forde, facilitating a second opinion after Forde received a diagnosis of an incurable brain tumor. The subsequent evaluation provided relief, revealing the tumor was benign.

In addition to his success at Wrexham and his Hollywood career as an actor, writer, and producer, Reynolds has established a thriving business empire, including ventures like Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile, the marketing company Maximum Effort, 1Password software, and Wealthsimple. He also holds co-ownership in the F1 Team Alpine.
