NOEL Edmonds is no stranger to TV but is probably best known for hosting Deal Or No Deal.

He first found fame in the 1970s and has been a staple on our screens ever since.

Who is Noel Edmonds and what is he famous for?

Noel Edmonds was born on December 22, 1948, and is a TV presenter and former radio DJ.

The legendary TV host was born in London and, after sending out tapes across Europe, he secured his first showbiz job was as a newsreader for Radio Luxembourg.

From there he bagged a job hosting various shows on BBC Radio 1 in 1969, where he would work until 1983.

During the 1970s his TV career also took off as he hosted Top Of The Pops, and kids' show Multi-Coloured Swap Shop on Saturday mornings.

What other TV shows has Noel Edmonds presented?

Noel was the face of Multi-Coloured Swap Shop from 1976 to 1982.

He then went on to present The Time Of Your Life and Telly Addicts, and also fronted The Late, Late Breakfast Show which began in 1982.

In 1991 Noel took the lead of Noel's House Party, which introduced the nation to his sidekick, Mr Blobby.

The Saturday night variety show ran up until 1998.

From 2005 to 2009 he was famed for, possible his most famous show, Deal Or No Deal and in 2008 he hosted Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old.

Fast forward to 2018 he appeared on I'm A Celebrity for a reported fee of £600,000.

He arrived late in the camp as Emperor, but ended up leaving first after getting the least public votes.

He also presented at the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest, and hosted telly shows Lucky Numbers and Juke Box Jury, as well as the original motoring series Top Gear.

When he appeared on Top Gear, he caused controversy by branding the Fiat Strada "not very good" which angered Fiat, who threatened to sue the BBC.

He also hosted Noel's Christmas Presents starting in 1989.

It's fair to say Noel has earned a pretty penny throughout his career.

As of 2023 he is estimated to be worth around £83million.

This has been made through his television and radio work over the years.

Is Noel Edmonds married and does he have children?

Noel has been married three times and is now married to his third wife Liz Davies, who he met when she worked as a make-up artist on Deal Or No Deal.

They tied the knot in July 2009 and live in the West Country together.

Before that Noel was married to Helen Soby between 1986 and 2004, with whom he has four daughters called Charlotte, Lorna, Olivia and Alice.

His first wife was Gillian Slater, and their marriage lasted for 11 years between 1971 and 1982.

As of 2023 Noel is enjoying a quieter life, away from the limelight.

In was revealed in 2022 that Deal Or No Deal would be returning, but a new presenter had been lined up.

Instead of Noel, ITV favourite Stephen Mulhern will be taking on the presenting role.
