THE late May bank holiday is nearly here, so public services like bin collections may be affected.
Here's everything you need to know about how different councils will deal with the public holiday and when you can expect your bins to be collected.

People are being warned of changes to rubbish and recycling collections across the UK on the late May bank holiday on Monday, May 27.
Some areas will see the normal day their household waste and recycling is picked up switched — especially if it falls on a Monday.
But this can differ between councils, as some have different approaches.

It is always best to check for your address on your council’s website to confirm the dates for refuse collection.
For example, Wandsworth Council advised residents: “Your rubbish and recycling will be collected as normal on all bank holidays except Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
"When these fall on a weekday, collections will be one day later than usual for the rest of that week."
Southwark Council and Tower Hamlets Council have said it is best to check their websites.
When will my bin collection resume?
This depends on your local council and what they have decided.
Some collections will take place a day later when it falls on a bank holiday.
As previously mentioned, councils who aren't collecting over the on the late May bank holiday will push their days back or forward by 24 hours to accommodate this.
For example, if your collection day is usually a Monday, your waste and recycling collection scheduled for Monday, May 27 would move to Tuesday, May 28.
Remember to put your sacks and garden waste out by 7pm on your collection day.
