A 10-year-old girl was killed in a Boxing Day horror crash on the way back from a trip to the seaside.
The family has paid tribute to Abbie Wilson whose life was cut tragically short in the East Yorkshire smash. Another man died and six other people were injured in the carnage, cops said. The family say the “loveable” daughter dreamed of owning her own home and was constantly looking for it on the internet.
Abbie and a 66-year-old man in the other car were killed in the head on crash on the A166 near the village of Bishop Wilton shortly before 5pm on Tuesday. The young girl died when the blue Skoda Kodiaq that she was travelling in was in collision with a black Audi A4.
Her family is being supported by specially trained officers during this difficult time. Humberside Police has also launched an appeal for witnesses to the crash. The family, from Bradford, said in a heartbreaking statement: "Abbie was such a lovable young girl. She would constantly have us looking at houses she would find on the internet, describing her dream home for when she grew up. We will miss her so much."
