LEWIS Capaldi has issued an update on his health and wellbeing after announcing his break from music in June.
The pop star, who has Tourette's Syndrome, had become increasingly affected by the condition on stage and decided to take time away from touring to learn how to cope with it.
Today he revealed how he has been getting on in a heartfelt statement on social media and also announced an extended edition of his second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.
After telling fans he missed them, he wrote: "As most of you will know, I'm currently taking some time off to focus on my health and wellbeing and it's been going great! I've been working with some incredible professionals to help me learn about and cope better with my Tourette's and anxiety issues. I'm really happy to say I've noticed a marked improvement in both since I decided to take some time off back in June."
Lewis admitted he was blown away by fan support following his initial withdrawal from the public eye and said that it's made him more excited than ever to return.

He also thanked fans for supporting and enjoying his candid Netflix documentary that laid bare his struggles with Tourette's and anxiety.
He continued: "Prior to my decision to f**k off for a bit, I'd always hoped to release an extended version at some point!
"After some back-and-forth about whether or not it was the right thing to do, I've decided it would be a shame for these extra five songs, which are so incredibly special to me, to sit on my hard drive, never to see the light of day."
Lewis then revealed his joy that the extended edition of his second album would be released tomorrow.
He continued: "For now I'm going to continue taking some time to carry on looking after myself, maybe writing some music and taking a moment to reflect on some of the most incredible years of my life. I want to make absolutely sure I'm 100 percent before getting back out there again properly for more shows and doing what I love more than anything!
"These songs mean the world to me and I'd be gutted if I'd not been able to share them. Hope this tides you all over until we can get in a room and sing them together some day very soon!"
Fans were delighted by the developments but urged him to take his time.

In his emotional June statement, the Scottish star, 26, told his followers he wouldn’t be back on stage "for the foreseeable future."
Performing on Glastonbury's Pyramid stage days earlier, Lewis was carried through songs by the crowd as he struggled with his voice.
Before that gig he cancelled all his other commitments to allow himself time to "rest and recover" for Glastonbury.
In a lengthy post on social media, he said his performance at Worthy Farm made it "obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come."
After performing his song Bruises, he admitted he was having voice issues, telling the crowd: "I'm going to be honest everybody but I'm starting to lose my voice up here, but we're going to keep going and we're going to go until the end.
"I just need you all to sing with me as loud as you can if that's OK?"
He continued to apologise to the crowd as well as the Eavis family who organise Glastonbury, for his voice starting to go - but the ocean of fans replied by cheering him on and chanting "Oh Lewis Capaldi".
He closed his set with his Grammy-nominated track Someone You Loved, telling the crowd "I love you all" and became emotional as they chanted back the lyrics to him when he was struggling to sing some of the notes.
