Pamela Bradshaw was one of the five people chosen to have a chance to win the lottery as part of Powerball's First Millionaire of the Year Drawing.
Shortly after midnight, Ryan Seacrest called out the winning number on Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking' Eve show.
After hearing the happy news, Pamela dropped on the floor overwhelmed with emotions.
She was helped back to her feet by the host and her daughter Joanna Hinson as she tried to collect herself.

The winner then enveloped Seacrest in a tight embrace and even appeared to kiss him.
The host said to her: "Pamela... first time here in New York City and you’re walking away in the new year a millionaire."
Still recovering from the excitement, she exclaimed: "Thank you God. I am so blessed. I'm so blessed."
The host then mentioned that she promised to share a part of her winnings with her daughter who was present on stage.
Pamela was flown to New York from North Carolina by the lottery organisers along with four other contestants.
Each finalist won a VIP trip for two to participate in the drawing in person.
They were randomly selected to take part in Powerball's First Millionaire of the Year drawing after entering the national Powerball promotion.
Pamela confessed she has never been to New York before and it was her first time flying on a plane.
But the memorable trip became even more special after securing a million dollar fund.
Now the new-found millionaire plans to buy a house with the prize money.

She said: "I would love to have my own home that is mine and that I feel safe in.
"I can have my own house and fix it up pretty and clean and feel safe. Not anything fancy or big, just a little cottage or something with one or two bedrooms."
The shocking moment of Pamela collapsing went viral online after it was posted on X, former Twitter.
