CONOR BENN secured a wide points win against unknown Peter Dobson, and then delivered an X-rated blast at rival Chris Eubank Jr.

The Destroyer, 27, did have to survive an onslaught from his opponent in the 12th round on what was a relatively easy night's work.

But things got more vicious after the contest, when Benn called his hated foe Eubank Jr "a p***y".

The Brit has been unable to fight on home soil after he was banned for failing two drug tests, which scuppered his bout with Eubank Jr.

Benn has consistently maintained his innocence.

However, he has been allowed to continue with his career in the States - disposing of Rodolfo Orozco on points back in September.

And tonight he defeated 33-year-old Dobson in Las Vegas, who was 16-0 before this contest.

Judges scored the fight 119-109, 118-110 & 118-110 in his favour, as Benn won by unanimous decision.

The Chelsea Ballroom in Sin City's Cosmopolitan Hotel was the setting for Benn's latest victory.

He marched to the ring to the Fugees classic 'Ready or Not' - a message to his rival for what was to come.

Benn came flying out the traps in round one, showing his speed with a vicious left hook that rocked Dobson.

Round two was a similar story, as the New York native from Bronx struggled with the Brit's intensity.

However, Dobson stayed in the fight and showed his courage with a overhand right of his own at the beginning of round three.

By the fifth round, both boxers were trading blows in what became a slugging fest.

Despite being pushed back on the ropes, Dobson wasn't to be floored.

Benn quashed the belief that he was tiring in the seventh by coming out the traps the moment bell went, then landing a combo straight down the middle, before a left hook stung him further.

As the fight wore on, it was evident Dobson was going to need a knockout.

Knowing that spurred him on further, and he wasn't deterred - even if Benn looked the more polished fighter.

They traded blows in the 11th, before an incredible 12th round saw them go toe-to-toe as the crowd cheered on their efforts.

But Benn kept his cool and fought with fire with fire to eventually get the judge's call.
