THE Traitors fans are up in arms over tonight's agonising cliffhanger ending, saying they are 'losing their minds'.

Friday night's episode climaxed with the ultimate tease as viewers were left hanging over who would be banished.

In one of the most tense roundtables ever, the votes initially came in as a tie between Ash, Brian and Diane.

Host Claudia Winkleman then allowed the three on the chopping block to pitch their case for why they are a faithful before the remaining contestants voted again.

Diane, Ash and Brian were not allowed to re-vote, and the others could only nominate one of those three.

After a re-vote, Ash and Brain got six votes each, leaving Anthony with the deciding vote about who would be banished.

And in a classic nailbiting moment, Claudia asked Anthony to turn his board around and reveal who he had written down - only for the camera to cut away to the end credits.

Viewers now have to face an agonising five day wait for answers as The Traitors is not back on BBC1 until next Wednesday (September 10).

Needless to say, fans flocked to X, formerly twitter, to vent their frustrations.

"That was savage!" one vented.

"Really cannot wait until next Wednesday with that cliffhanger," added a second.

"Just roared YOU B*****DS at the telly!" a third weighed in.

"I am going to lose my mind!" a fourth agreed.

"Ok, that's brutal. Cutting it there is pure evil," summed up a fifth.

While many were disappointed by the wait, fans seem unanimously happy with the second series so far.

Some even compared the tension in tonight's third episode to the final of the first series.

"Episode 3 reached series 1 finale level, unreal," one noted.

A second agreed, saying: "How did we get a finale level episode, only 3 eps in?"
