What has Maya Jama said?

Maya's rise to fame has been impressive, to say the least, with her work ethic helping her become one of Britain's highly sought after stars.

Speaking about the All Stars series' batch of Islanders, she teased on This Morning: "They're experienced, they know how it goes and what they're looking for... I think more drama.

"They know what to expect, they know what makes it fun. So I think they're going to go in there [with] game plans]."

Maya also revealed who some her favourite Islanders of all time are.

She said: "I’ve got secret ones, I’m not allowed to to say - I’ve got to be in the middle! The year with Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay and Olivia Attwood."

When Maya landed the job in 2022, Maya told ITV at the time: "It’s really, really exciting. It’s been a weird feeling because you find out and then it’s the wait and the build up.

Maya went on: "I’ve been a fan for years. It was the first reality show, other than Big Brother, that I made sure I was back at a certain time to watch and all my friends and family were speaking about.

"Everyone gets involved, everyone has opinions - from the older people in your family to the younger ones.

"It’s just fun, it’s fun to see how people play out in different situations and wonder what you would do if you were in the same position.

Who else has hosted Love Island?

Since the revival of the show in 2015, there have been a few hosts of the hit TV show.

Caroline Flack hosted the show for five seasons until she passed away in 2020.

She was succeeded by Laura Whitmore, wife of Love Island narrator Iain Stirling, for seasons six to eight.

Laura shocked Love Island fans when she quit the show in August 2022.

Her sudden exit from the show left the presenter spot up for grabs for a short while, with speculation rife as to who would bag the gig.

Bosses announced Maya Jama as the host of Love Island, a fact that was well received by Love Island fans everywhere.
