KATIE Price's ex Alex Reid has revealed that he was rushed to hospital with a life threatening condition.
The 48-year-old, who was married to former glamour model Katie between 2010 and 2012, has a suspected abscess in his throat.
MMA star Alex confessed that he didn't realise how serious it could be left untreated.
He revealed that he'll have to get the painful lump syringed and is currently waiting to be operated on.
Alex took to Instagram to share an update with fans while sitting in hospital.

He wrote: "Not having such a great weekend….
"Felt rough went to out of hours gp to be told to go straight to hospital.
"Looks like I have an abscess in my throat that may need to be syringed. Didn’t realise how dangerous it was to be left with out treated!!
"Was literally just going to take pain relief and sleep it off!
"Thank god I saw someone as was told it could have burst which is deadly!
"Thanking the NHS as always for your amazing services @nhsengland.
"Waiting to see a doc now to let me know if I will be operated on …."

Alex and ex Katie started dating in 2009, shortly after her divorce from ex Peter Andre.
The former couple were married for two years before they wet their separate ways.
Alex later shared dating Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton and they share one daughter called Dolly.
They split in 2012.
Alex has been with his fiancee Nikki Manashe since 2013.
They have parents to twins.
