A THIRD person has been arrested and charged over the Hogmanay shooting of Edinburgh gangster Marc Webley.

Amanda Miller, 33, was lifted yesterday and cops announced today they have now charged her.

It comes after Grant Hunter, 32, and Emma McVie, 25, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday charged with Webley's murder and the attempted murder of another man.

Both made no plea and were committed for further examination. They were remanded in custody and are expected to re-appear in court in days.

Webley, 38, was reportedly gunned down while leaving a New Year party at his local pub in the capital’s Granton, while a second man, 39, was also allegedly wounded by gunfire.

A major probe was launched into the alleged killing, with West Granton Road being sealed off and scoured by forensics for days.

Last week Hunter and McVie were arrested by armed cops at a flat on Gorgie Road before officers equipped with rifles and shields led them away in handcuffs.

The arrests come just days after investigators found the suspected getaway motor involved in the alleged murder in a nearby estate.

Webley’s ex, lotto winner Jane Park, paid tribute to the convicted gunman in a series of Instagram posts, saying she was “absolutely devastated” by the alleged killing.

Webley was previously jailed for an attempted gun murder and an intimidation plot.

In 2004, the hood was at the centre of a turf war with another thug who can’t be named for legal reasons.

It culminated in 2005 with him firing a gun at a rival, hitting him once. He was caged for 11 years.

After he was freed from jail, Webley was caged for a further six months for trying to intimidate a man into handing over £1,000 at a garage.

And in 2022, he was cleared of a double murder bid after a witness claimed she could not identify him.
