MAMMA Mia! star Meryl Streep is growing close to comic actor Martin Short following the end of her 45-year marriage.
The couple sat next to each other at Sunday’s Golden Globes and posed for a cosy photo, weeks after rumours of a romance first started.

Meryl, 74, was introduced to Martin, 73, when they played lovers on the US TV series Only Murders in the Building last year.
It is her first reported relationship since she announced in October that she had separated from husband Don Gummer, 77, who she wed in 1978.
A source said: “Meryl and Martin are enjoying each other’s company. There’s no pressure.

“They spend time together and get on well. It’s early days.
“Both of them are private about their personal lives so they aren’t about to flaunt their romance in front of the world. But they are happy.”
A rep for Martin said of the reports: “They are just very good friends, nothing more.”
When Meryl’s marriage split was revealed, it emerged that she and Don, with whom she had four kids, had been separated for six years.
It led to speculation over the timing of the news, with claims she may have found a new partner.
Martin had a 30-year marriage to comic actress Nancy Dolman, with whom he adopted three children, before she passed away in 2010.
