Rob, 44, said he was cheered up by superstar singer Lulu who he'd interviewed on the show as she surprised him with a gift.

Posting a snap of beautiful roses, Rob said: "When you return home and find out that @lulukc is your valentine..

"Who needs a hot scaffolder anyway.. she makes me want to shout".

The card read: "Happy Valentine's Day darling, Love Lulu x."

The former telly judge was photographed in a gown as he lay in bed after suffering a nasty injury.

Robert, 44, was rushed to hospital on Monday just hours after presenting GMB alongside Ranvir Singh.

The criminal barrister suffered a prolapsed disc in his back, also known as a slipped disc, causing him severe pain.

The condition causes the soft tissue between the bones to push out of place, pressing on nerves and causing discomfort.

"Started the day holding politicians to account on ⁦GMB⁩ and interviewing Lulu & Richie Sambora," he wrote.

"Finished it having a prolapsed disc in my back repaired and healed," Rob revealed as he smiled for the camera.

"‘Life can change in a moment.. Hold on to joy wherever you find it (thanks brilliant medical team)."

The post was flooded with well wishes from fans.

"OMG a prolapsed disc is so painful, I'm very glad you've got it repaired and are on the mend," one penned.
