Gladiators star Legend had to rush his little boy to hospital after a scary incident at home.
Matt Morsia, who is currently starring on the BBC reboot of the classic show, got a scare when his son had a fit while in the bath. The doting dad and wife Sarah have revealed their boy almost drowned in the terrifying moment. Sarah took to her Instagram to share a snap of their boy in hospital.
She explained Mauro suffered a complication after getting chickenpox. Taking to Instagram, Sarah explained: "Last week Mauro suffered from something called febrile convulsions. He was coming down with chicken pox and the fever caused seizures/ fitting (it is quite common in children around the age of 2 during the onset of an illness).

Matt and wife Sarah share two boys - Luca and Mauro (DAILY MIRROR)"We called an ambulance which came quickly and got us to hospital and he is fine now (just waiting for the last of the spots to go). Anyway the first seizure happened when he was in the bath and within moments he was face down under the water and jerking uncontrollably."
Luckily Sarah was right by him and was able to pull Mauro out of the water within seconds. She continued: "Luckily I was sitting next to the bath and was able to pick him straight up and call Matt to help but it makes me feel sick to think of what might’ve happened. I wouldn’t usually share stuff like this but it’s easy to quickly put the socks in the wash or grab some pyjamas while the kids are in the bath but basically don’t… defo not worth the risk!"

Since the ordeal, the family have been able to enjoy a holiday to Spain and have confirmed Mauro is now fit and well. Sarah added: "P.s. As you can see, he’s much better and enjoying his holiday." Matt makes up one of the 16 powerhouses in the new Gladiators team for the reboot with new hosts, father and son duo Bradley and Barney Walsh.
He had worked as a PE teacher, but decided to drop his day job so he could focus on his YouTube channel. Matt and Sarah share two sons - Mauro and Luca. Sarah was also able to quit her teaching job to manage Matt's channel after he launched an energy drink and fitness app.
Speaking of joining Gladiators, he said: "I was born for this. Every single game I do I will win. And I won’t just win it – I’ll do it in an extremely entertaining, dominating fashion.” The 6ft 2ins tall fitness expert, who describes himself as a "a cross between Gandhi and David Hasselhoff’ on the show, even had a poster of original Gladiators bad boy Wolf on his wall growing up. “Being a Gladiator is amazing - it means so much to me," he said.
