Explanation for Kylie keeping Timothee away from Selena Gomez exposed

Kylie Jenner is reportedly "heavily protective" over her boyfriend Timothee Chalamet, which triggered drama at the Golden Globes this weekend.

The reality TV star "isn't going to let" the Hollywood actor go, as the couple looked loved up at the awards show. However, tension arose as lip readers revealed what Selena Gomez whispered to her pals Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller.

Fans think Selena said to Taylor: "I asked for a picture with him and she [Kylie] said no." To which Keleigh then mouthed: "With Timothée?" to which Selena nodded. It was suggested that Selena then said: "Do you know what they said/did to me?" before Taylor eyes widened as she replied: "S**t, what the..." The Anti-Hero singer later added: "Oh my God, love you," and Selena replied: "Brought them back together."

But a lip-reading expert exclusively told The Mirror that Selena was talking about her boyfriend Benny Blanco - and not Kylie. Sources have now confirmed that there's no beef from Kylie's side and that she "doesn't feel threatened" by the singer, who played Timothee's love interest in 2020 flick, A Rainy Day in New York, where the pair shared a passionate kiss.

"Kylie doesn’t feel threatened by her, but she is heavily protective over her relationship with Timothee. She loves him and isn’t going to let him go. She knows that women would love to break up what they have," the insider told the Daily Mail.

"Selena went up to him to simply congratulate him on his nominations and tell him how much she loved his latest film. She is genuinely proud of how far he’s come."

Selena has since attempted to shut down speculation around her alleged conversation about the pair, and instead claimed she was talking about her "two friends that hooked up," she wrote on social media. Timothee also attempted to downplay rumors of a feud between Kylie and Selena and insisted to TMZ that the duo are "cool."
