A woman in her 70s has died after being attacked in a park in Exeter.
Police have launched a murder investigation and say they have arrested a man in his thirties in connection.
Officers were called to Ludwell Valley Park at around 4pm on Saturday afternoon where they found the victim, who they said had been seriously assaulted.
The woman, who is believed to be local to the area, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed on Saturday evening they had made an arrest.

"A heightened police presence will remain in the area and it is vital that if you contact us if you have any information relating to this incident."
The force has also appealed to anyone in the Wonford area around the time of the incident.
