Are electric blankets safe?
Most of the heated blankets on our list (except for one), feature auto-shut off settings to avoid any nasty accidents. The setting means the blanket will turn off after a certain amount of time - so you can forget about worrying if you've left it on after leaving the house.
Some of the blankets even allow you to choose how long you’d like your blanket to run for, thanks to handy in-built timers.
How much electricity do electric blankets use?
Although they're not completely free to run, electric blankets are definitely a more cost effective way to heat your home - especially with energy prices now high. They are also more energy-efficient and will therefore still keep you warm at night instead of boosting the central heating. Some options on our list even cost just 1p per night to run - how good is that?
