THOUSANDS of Plusnet customers were left struggling to get online after the provider suffered a major outage.
Downdetector, which measures outages, said there were almost 9,000 reported issues as of 4.26pm on January 15.

Complaints started just after 4pm on January 15 and by 4.26pm 8,849 Plusnet customers were reporting broadband issues.
Some 74% of the complaints related to landline internet connections.

A further 14% of customers complained they had no signal and 12% said they had no service at all.

It's important to keep checking social media as well because providers often respond directly to customers there.
That could mean mostly X or Facebook.
Downdetector also normally logs these issues - so keep an eye out there too.

You could be entitled to up to £8 a day if your connection goes down for more than two days.
So that's around £117 for a fortnight, potentially.
