A flight attendant has gone viral after he spent a whole journey holding the hand of a nervous flier.
Floyd Dean-Shannon won the hearts of the people around the world after a photo went viral, showing him sat on the floor of a plane for the duration of a flight from North Carolina to New York.
The Delta Airlines flight attendant talked the anxious woman through every step of the flight, according to fellow passenger Molly Simonson Lee who captured the sweet moment.
"This woman was so nervous about flying, so he explained every sound and bump and even sat here holding her hand when it still got to be too much for her," she wrote on Facebook.
After the photo gained traction online the cabin crew member was identified as Floyd.

Molly later appeared on radio station WXII enthusing about the crew member’s kindness, explaining how the nervous woman how told those around her how she was feeling before the plane took off.
"(The flight attendant) took notice of that and said, ‘I’ve got you,’ and just was very reassuring, just told her not to worry, it was going to be totally safe and she was tearing up,” she said.
“I has to take a picture because it was moving. It was so beautiful to see somebody just extend their heart like that to a stranger. With every little noise, she’d be like, ‘What’s that?
"(He said) ‘That’s OK. That’s just the jet bridge pulling away’ or whatever the case may be. And that really helped her.”
Molly added: "I just really hope that Floyd gets what he deserves, which is everyone’s love, everyone’s praise, everyone’s admiration. I’m so happy that he’s getting that recognition. And I really hope it leads to good things for him."
After the post went viral many people expressed their hopes that Floyd would get the good karma they felt he deserved.
“I hope the company gets to see this picture!” one woman wrote online.

"Thank goodness for kind and caring flight attendants and pilots who educated me and held my hand and brought me alcohol during turbulence! This flight attendant is an angel.”

The airline did not say whether Floyd would be getting a raise after being asked by Entrepreneur.
