VICK Hope has appeared to "warn" her former co-star Jordan North after he quit to join rival station Capital FM.

It was revealed this week that Jordan, 34, will replace Roman Kemp on the Breakfast Show where 34-year-old Vick used to work.

In an emotional tribute to Jordan on Instagram, Calvin Harris's wife told him: "You’re about to soar, everyone is going to love you as much as we do, just please look after yourself there."

The Sun revealed Vick quit Capital in 2020 amid claims she'd been sidelined by bosses - in favour of male co-host Roman.

There were rumours of a bust-up between the pair at the time with Radio X’s Chris Moyles also claiming they do not get on.

Roman has now been replaced by I'm A Celebrity star Jordan after ten years at Capital.

BBC rules meant Jordan was not allowed to present his final show after handing in his notice.

Just please look after yourself there.

Vick - who's presented Going Home with Vick and Jordan on Radio One since 2021 - described her disappointment at not giving him a send off.

Vick's full Instagram post read: "Absolutely gutted, to be honest. Our Jordan North you’re a true BBC Radio One legend, a dreamy co-host, and an incredibly special friend.

"There are too many memories for these collages, but what a laugh we’ve had.

"Thank you for sharing your wit and your warmth; your stories, your skill and your spirit.

"Going Home with Vick and Jordan has been such a mad, chaotic ride, I’ve loved being on this journey with you for a little bit, and will always support and cheer for you as you embark on the next chapter.

"You’re about to soar, everyone is going to love you as much as we do, just please look after yourself there. And keep the tunes coming.

"I’m so sad we didn’t get a proper on-air send off, but I guess (inadvertently, accidentally appropriately) killing off Judge Jordan this week will have to do as a radio goodbye.

"To our listeners, thank you for joining us every day and being the heart and soul of the show. Let’s welcome lovely, brilliant Jamie Laing with open arms and all have a bloody excellent time together."

Jordan will be replaced by former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing.

As news broke of the signing, Jamie suffered huge backlash online.

He re-posted a comment to social media which read: "You’re kidding Jamie Laing. Who on this earth would want to listen to his pompous nonsense.

"We need meritocracy brought back in order for ordinary people to stand any chance of being considered."

Jamie added his view as he wrote: “First comment in and might be a bit too truthful…probably stop there for the day."
