ULTRA-feminine fashion has also made a comeback.

“Coquette” is a trend that focuses on all things girly – bows, lace and frills.

If you’re wondering how to channel it, hark back to The Darling Buds Of May and Catherine Zeta-Jones as the attractive, flirty and coy Mariette – eldest daughter of the Larkins. She had this vibe down to a tee.

Wearing headscarves tied in a bow, pigtails and pastel shades, her style was the essence of what Coquette is all about.

Most recently, stars such as Kate Beckinsale and Kerry Washington have hit the red carpet in girly mini-dresses adorned with bows.

And designers Sixdo and Giambattista Valli celebrated the style in their SS24 catwalks.

COMPO - Last Of The Summer Wine

WHO would have thought a show about three elderly men in Yorkshire, from the Seventies, would come back and be deemed stylish in 2024.

Well, “grandpacore” is in – Pinterest searches were up 334 per cent in the last month – and Compo from Last Of The Summer Wine is our latest style inspo.

Stars from Harry Styles to A$AP Rocky and David Beckham have been channelling the “eclectic grandpa” look – think woolly hats, cardigans, oversized knitted jumpers and sweater vests.

But it’s not just for the boys. Kendall Jenner and Alexa Chung look equally as cosy dressed like grandpas, donning sweaters and argyle jumpers.

This trend kicked off last year when Suits, starring Meghan Markle, made its debut on Netflix and the final season of HBO’s Succession, starring Sarah Snook, aired.

This week, tapping into the sophisticated and sexy trend are Amanda Holden and Ashley Roberts.

The corporate zeitgeist is huge on social media, with TikTok users swapping their trainers for kitten heels, and baggy bombers for sharp tailoring or pencil skirts.

Videos for “corporate girl” have amassed 376.7million views.

CARMELA - The Sopranos

DESPITE hitting screens in 1999, The Sopranos female lead is now a style icon.

Wife to mob boss Tony, Carmela was the New Jersey housewife with long acrylic nails, animal prints, faux furs and lashings of gold jewellery.

EFFY STONEM - Skins

SALTBURN, set in 2006, made Noughties trend Indie Sleaze return, but it’s not the first time we’ve seen this kind of look on screens.

In the late Noughties, Skins was the TV show everyone was talking about and fans couldn’t get enough of Effy’s chaotic style.

Band T-shirts, layered jewellery, a leather jacket and colourful tights made for a trend that looked like you needed a wash, but was deemed cool.

Take a 2024 twist and make it grown up by tucking your T-shirt into wide-leg trousers, layer delicate jewellery and throw on a leather jacket.

The Brit pack, particularly Suki Waterhouse, have nailed the look. And it was big on designer Coach’s catwalk last season.
