There's beef down under, and it's left one Brit reeling.

Whilst Australia and the UK are quite literally on opposite sides of the Earth - many cultural similarities unite us, like sarcasm, swearing, booze, and a penchant for shortening words and phrases that really don't need abbreviating (avo toast, aggro, Barbie etc).

However, one woman from the UK hasn't acclimatised to the Aussie life at all. In fact, she has slated Australia for a school activity she dubs as the 'biggest hate crime against gingers'. Which, if it was true, could be true.

TikTok user Phoebe is an avid supporter of fellow redheads, posting streams of videos online about the hardships the Prince Harry's of the world have to endure. In a recent video that has gone viral, she shows her disgust for 'Ranga Roundup'.

"What a Ranga Roundup is, is the most disgusting thing I've ever heard on the planet of existence," she said. "Essentially, this normally happens in high school, but they get all the gingers in a school for example and they will put them all in a football net... and force them to eat dog faecal matter."

Phoebe said the tradition shows that gingers need to have 'more love in the world'. But, Aussies were quick to put the 'Ginger Defence League' Founder back in her place.

At the time of writing, Phoebe's TikTok video has amassed a staggering 2,877 comments - with many debunking the myth that Ranga Roundup actually takes place. Many users point out that the cruel prank against redheads is actually from Jonah from Tonga - a comedy series led by Chris Lilley.

"I think someone might be winding you up," one user commented. "Aussie here and [I've] never ever heard of a Ranga Roundup. I've been around too." Another person wrote: "This isn’t even real it was just in Jonah from Tonga." While a third wrote: "As an Australian ginger, I have never heard of this. Sounds made up. Also we don’t have football nets like that in many places."

In fact, hundreds of Australians insisted the prank was 'not a thing' and 'never' happened to them. Phoebe has only replied to comments where people have believed the Ranga Roundup takes place. However, a few users claimed the post was 'true'.
