New England Revolution midfielder Noel Buck is on Tottenham's radar after impressing in Major League Soccer aged just 18.

According to football.london, Tottenham have expressed interest in the central midfielder and could make a move for the youngster who is yet to pledge his international allegiance. Buck has lived in the United States for his whole life, but has a British father and holds passports from both nations.

Buck has already represented England at U-19 level after being called up in September 2023, and has scored one goal in six appearances for the Three Lions. Buck also has an eye for goal at club level, scoring three goals in 25 appearances for New England in MLS last season.

After being born in Arlington, Massachusetts, Buck went on to sign for New England at the age of 12 and remained in their academy until he received a professional contract from the senior team. The Revolution signed him as a homegrown player in January 2022, when the midfielder was just 16.

He played seven MLS games in his first season as a senior professional, and scored in a 3-0 win over New York City FC to become the second youngest scorer in team history behind Diego Fagundez. Buck impressed as a rookie and was heavily involved throughout 2023, playing in a variety of positions.

Buck is most comfortable as a centre midfielder but has also been used out wide in New England on several occasions. His most prolific position appears to be as an attacking midfielder, as Buck has two goals in five starts when playing the No. 10 role.

His current market value is $2.75 million (£2.15m) according to Transfermarkt, but the MLS club are aware of his potential and have put a price tag of £6m on the youngster. Tottenham aren't the only Premier League team interested, and it's expected that an offer will be made in the future for Buck to play in England.

For now Buck is representing England, but due to his family situation he is eligible to play for the United States or Wales at international level. Buck's grandmother is Welsh, giving him a third nation to consider in the future.

The 2024 MLS season kicks off on February 21, and with the January transfer window coming to an end it's likely that teams will keep tabs on how Buck starts the season before considering a potential move in the summer. It's a major season for Buck who is expected to play an even more crucial role this year, and help New England back to the MLS Cup Playoffs.
