A woman has been left outraged after her neighbour ordered her to stop jogging past her house because it distracts her son. The 20-year-old explained how she doesn't enjoy jogging but does it every now and then when she wants to get home faster.

Taking to Reddit, she said: "I don't jog often, I don't even like running. But last night while walking my dog, I needed to get home before being eaten alive by mosquitoes. I ran up one side of a cul-de-sac, and by the time I reached the end, a woman was standing in her yard watching me. "

While she didn't think much of it at first, she became curious when the woman started flagging her down for a chat.

"She motioned me into her yard - I assumed it was so she could ask to pet my dog or something like that," she added.

"Instead she told me that I should be more conscious when running because I'm 'big chested'. I honestly didn't know what to say.

"She said that I was distracting her son, that running might 'feel good' but 'men would notice and that's not the kind of attention you want'."

Completely taken back by the woman's comments, she ended up walking the rest of the way home, thinking about what she was just told.

"I've been a size D since I was fifteen, and wore baggy clothing for years after I heard a boy say 'Did you see her t*ts bounce?'

"It's the first thing that people notice about me and it never fails to upset me that I'm at fault for other people ogling me."

Although she regrets not sticking up for herself in that moment, she admits she has no idea what she would say in response.

She added: "I still don't know what to say to her but I'm twenty years old, she's not my mum, and she can't tell me to stop running, so I won't."

While most users shared their shock over the woman's "disgusting" request, others shamed her for not correcting her son's behaviour, claiming she was creating a larger problem.

One user said: "If she thinks she can stop her son from being distracted by boobs she's got a lot more work to do than stopping everyone above a B cup from running past her house."

Another user added: "Sounds like you should take up jogging out of spite."

A third user said: "I'd be tempted to ask her if you should be concerned about her son. The 'not the kind of attention you want' gives off creepy vibes. Ask her why she didn't raise him to be more respectful to women."
