He is back in the UK for tonight’s ceremony at London’s Royal Festival Hall — but has no plans to spend time with his family, who are based in Dundee.

A source said: “Barry is in demand at the moment and Los Angeles is where it is at. He also wants to spend as much time with Sabrina as possible given their hectic work schedules.

“Barry is keeping in touch with his family over the phone and they are having to adapt to him spending more time in the States.”

This week, Barry and Sabrina, 24, were spotted going out for dinner at celebrity haunt Delilah in West Hollywood.

They later headed to the Ysabel restaurant and lounge to continue their romantic evening.

Their dinner date came after Barry was pictured outside 24-year-old Sabrina’s home in the Hollywood Hills.

They have also been spotted leaving the Hotel Bel-Air together.

Barry was seen keeping a low profile under a baseball cap while waiting for his luggage at Heathrow on Thursday ahead of tonight’s Baftas.

But Sabrina will not be accompanying him on the red carpet as she is supporting singing superstar Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in Australia.

Last July, Barry split from dental nurse Alyson Kierans, the mother of his one-year-old son Brando.

Barry and Sabrina are believed to have met during Paris Fashion Week in September.

A source said: “Barry thought it was best that Alyson was the first to know about him and Sabrina so she wouldn’t be hurt if she found out on social media.

“Alyson and Barry still communicate for the sake of Brando and he has been open about his new relationship.”

Barry won Best Supporting Actor at last year’s Baftas for his role as abused islander Dominic Kearney in The Banshees of Inisherin.

He said in his acceptance speech: “This is for my son, Brando, for my mother, and also for the kids that are dreaming to be something from the area that I came from.”

Meanwhile, Barry is set to appear in Amo Saddam — a film based on a book about Saddam Hussein’s final days.

He will play an American soldier tasked with guarding the former Iraqi dictator in the months before his trial and execution in December 2006.

And he recently finished filming thriller Bring Them Down, which tells the tale of an Irish shepherding family forced into conflict.

At this year’s Baftas, he is up for Best Actor for his turn as creepy Oliver Quick in dark comedy Saltburn.

But he faces stiff competition from Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy and Bradley Cooper for his role in Maestro.

The ceremony will be held this evening at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s Southbank.

It will be screened on BBC One, with David Tennant as host.
