The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, could produce a docuseries with Paramount when their Netflix deal ends, it has been claimed.

Last week the Sussexes made a rare public appearance when they attended the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in Kingston, Jamaica. The couple were seen posing on the red carpet together, which came after they were allegedly invited by the CEO of Paramount Pictures.

The Paramount CEO, Brian Robbins, is reportedly friends with the Duke and Duchess, with him and his wife owning a $17 million home in Montecito, which happens to be extremely close to the Sussexes' Montecito mansion that they have resided in since 2020.

And the couple's appearance saw them seemingly send Netflix a public warning, which comes as their contract with the streaming platform nears its end. Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020, joined forces with Netflix soon after their shocking departure.

They have since created a bombshell six-part docuseries titled Harry & Meghan, as well as Harry's documentary titled Heart of Invictus. The pair have almost a year left on their Netflix contract, with it due to end in early 2025.

"Their eyes will now be set on finding the next big multi-million-pound deal," Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR has told The Mirror. The Hollywood guru went on to add that "it seems like Paramount could be a potential contender if they are close to Brian Robbins, the head of Paramount".

She added: "Netflix is reportedly not interested in producing kids' shows or more films with them.

"Instead, they want to create a 'juicy' feature-length version of their about their Royal past which at the moment would not be a good PR move for them, so it’s unlikely that will happen as part of their current Netflix deal."

Lynn added: "The streaming giant also cancelled Meghan's animated series 'Pearl' in 2021 before production even began, so Paramount could be an ideal home for that project.

"This year, they are producing a film which will stream exclusively on Netflix called Meet me at the lake, a film adaptation of the novel by Carley Fortune.

"That could be their final production with the Netflix if their contract isn’t renewed."

Concluding her expert analysis, she wrapped up by saying: "Personally, I would love to see another docuseries from the pair that showcases how they are doing now in their lives and there is an appetite for it, given the runaway success of their first docuseries Harry & Meghan, but that could easily do just as well on Paramount if they strike a deal with them."
