The ITV series sees contestants solve a word puzzle for the chance to rake in cash.

Every correct letter gets players the chance to earn a sum of money, but the amount is left to chance, only decided by the spin of a giant carnival wheel.

During Wheel Of Fortune's latest episode viewers watched as John, Roxy and Lewis all played in the hope of bagging a jackpot prize.

Their first clue as the game got underway was "life goals".

Roxy was randomly selected to spin the wheel as she attempted to crack the sentence.

The safeguarding coordinator managed to correctly guess the sentence was "Hanging out with my six cats".

However, despite amassing £2,100 thanks to her skills, fans at home were left furious.

They slammed the show and demanded an explanation how it counted as a "life goal".

Flooding social media, one said: "Someone needs to explain this one to me…"

A second posted: "Who threw in Organic with that answer and made up a life goal like hanging with my six cats."

A third blasted: "I'm very sorry #WheelOfFortune what Life Goal is this? The category would be better entitled, 'What's the Life Goal of a crazy old cat lady?'."

While a fourth commented: "That's a life goal?? Get out."

Meanwhile, that wasn't the only complaint from fans, who were also left irked by the contestants' mannerisms.

Viewers were quick to call out the contestants for shouting with one posting: "WHY ARE THEY SHOUTING…" and another blasting: "Why are the contestants so shouty".

Others slammed them for being "thick", with one harshly writing: "Is it a pre-requisite to be thick on this show???

"Honestly cant watch…its so bad! And for the love of god, what is with all the vowel buying?!

"It was solvable after the first few letters! Turning off!"

Another viewers complained: "The constant “wooing” from the audience is grating.

"And how thick are some of the contestants."

Wheel Of Fortune is available to watch now on ITVX.
