What is Andrew Tate's net worth?

Andrew Tate has previously boasted of being a "trillionaire" but in June 2023 The Sun reported that Romanian cops believe he has a net worth of around £ 10 million.

Police listed the disgraced influencer's luxurious assets as they announced Tate and his brother Tristan had been charged as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.

In January 2023, prosecutors said they had seized 15 luxury vehicles and more than 10 properties and homes belonging to the suspects to prevent the assets from being sold or hidden.

Fourteen watches, two ingots and cash were also confiscated, with authorities saying at the time the seized property was worth €3.6m (£3.12m).

It was reported the money could be used for compensation for his victims if the allegations against him are proven.

How did Andrew Tate make his money?

Tate was born in the US but came to live in Britain at just four years old.

He started his career as a kickboxer in Luton and won multiple world titles.

According to his website, he has worked as a commentator for Real Xtreme Fighting, the largest MMA promotion in Romania.

Previously, it was presumed that Tate had made most of his wealth from his main business venture, Hustler University.

He also claims to have made more money investing in cryptocurrency and opening a chain of casinos with his brother Tristan.

Prior to being charged in June 2023, the disgraced influencer would often share pictures of flash cars, expensive properties, cigars and private jets on his Instagram.

This appears, however, to have all been crafted to appeal to his followers and promote his brand and Tate's lawyers have even claimed he plays a "character" online for the purposes of entertainment.

Past social media pictures showed off Andrew and his brother's car collection, which included a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin, a Ferrari, and a Rolls Royce.

In a podcast interview just before his arrest, Tate denied owning any of his cars, saying: "I don't own anything. There are cars [that I may have access to]."

What were Andrew Tate's main streams of income?

It is thought that Tate's main income came from a webcamming business he ran from his compound in Romania, alongside.

He also runs subscription service Hustler's University, which is said to teach customers how to make money, as well as "The War Room", which is a private members club where payment to join is paid through cryptocurrency.

The BBC released its investigation into the "War Room" network in September 2023.

The publication reported that an associate of Tate's called Miles Sonkin had allegedly been using the site to encourage members to groom young women into becoming sex workers.

Where is Andrew Tate now?

As of January 2024, Tate is awaiting trial.

Tate won an appeal to be released from house arrest in Romania in August 2023.

He and his brother are now able to travel anywhere within Romania but cannot go abroad.

Tate spoke to Piers Morgan about his time in prison, describing it as a "Romanian dungeon’.

On November 20, 2023, he said: “I have been constrained this entire year."

Tate went on: "I spent 93 days in a Romanian dungeon, five months locked in my house, and now I am restrained within the country of Romania, so it has certainly been a turbulent time".

Why was Andrew Tate in prison?

On December 29, 2022, he was arrested in Romania along with Tristan on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

The following day, a Romanian court ruled that Andrew would remain in custody for 30 days.

That was extended for another 30 days - until the end of February - and another 30 after that.

Tate's appeal against a judge's decision to keep him locked up until March 29 was rejected.

However, he was released from Jail and placed under house arrest on March 31, 2023.

On August 4, a judge ended their house arrest following a successful appeal by Tate's lawyers.
