Who is hosting the Grammys?

The two-time Grammy nominated comedian Trevor Noah has confirmed that he will be hosting the 66th Grammy Awards live from Crypto.com Arena.

The comic shared the news on his podcast What Now?

He said: “I think it’s also important to acknowledge something. I’m hosting the Grammys.

“I’m excited about that, yeah, it’s a lot of fun.

"I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it is happening.”

The 38-year-old comedian hosted the satirical news show The Daily Show, which airs on Comedy Central, from 2015 to 2022.

He is also the author of the best-selling book titled Born A Crime.

When Noah returned to host the 2022 event, the president and CEO of CBS, George Cheeks, said it was an obvious choice to have Noah back as a host.

Cheeks said: "Trevor brought his trademark talent and versatility to last March’s Grammys, and we can’t wait for him to host the event on CBS and Paramount+ again this year."

The CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason Jr, echoed Cheeks' comments when the Noah was announced as the 64th Grammys host.

“Trevor was amazing as our host for the 63rd Grammy Awards with praise from the music community, music fans and critics.

"We’re so excited to welcome Trevor back to the Grammys stage and feel fortunate to once again have him hosting what we believe will be an unforgettable evening.”

How many times has Trevor Noah hosted the Grammys?

This is Noah's fourth time hosting the Grammy Awards.

Noah was the host of the 65th Grammy Awards in February last year, the 64th in April 2022 and the 63rd in March 2021.

Last year, when he spoke to CBS News about hosting the 65th Grammys, he revealed that the final thing he does before he starts to host the event is "look at everyone backstage and I say, 'Thank you,' because it's been a crazy journey."

And the year before, the 2022 Grammys, Noah made his fair share of jokes.

As the Los Angeles Times reported, one line included: "Every single person you can imagine is here. I saw Olivia Rodrigo myself. She was getting carded, and she had to show a bouncer her actual driver’s license. It was, like, history people!"

When he was announced as the host of the 2021 Grammys, Noah said: "Despite the fact that I am extremely disappointed that the Grammys have refused to have me sing or be nominated for best pop album, I am thrilled to be hosting this auspicious event."

Noah was praised for his wit, humor, and ability to fluidly make fun of the celebrities who came to perform.

In one joke, Harry Styles took the brunt as he walked on stage in a feather boa.

Noah said: "Ladies, you got to watch out, because he'll steal your heart and your dress and he'll look damn good doing it."

Ahead of Cardi B's performance, he said: "We're all going to find out what 'WAP' stands for. If you have small children in the room, just tell them it’s a story about a cat taking a bath."

How can I watch the Grammys?

The 66th Grammy Awards will air live on CBS on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 5 to 8.30pm P.T.

It will also be available for streaming via Paramount+.

Paramount+ showtime subscribers will have access to the live stream as well as on demand services in the United States.

Paramount+ essential subscribers will have access to on demand services the following day, but no access to the live stream.

This year, Grammy has promised to revolutionise fans' digital experiences - offering an exclusive, behind-the-scenes sneak peek through a multi-camera video feed.

Fans are set to get a first-ever view into the entirety of the Grammy Awards, backstage moments, performances, interviews, and much more.
