A KIA expert has revealed the features that make a 2024 Kia EV9 a worthy competitor to some of the most luxurious automakers.
On the list of features are a few EV firsts.
Eddie with Hotshot Tek, a YouTube channel (@HotshotTek) that focuses on the latest and greatest tech and what makes it unique, recently uploaded a video covering the incredible features that come standard with Kia's EV9 full-sized EV SUV.
Aside from the price tag being friendly to nearly every American at $54,900 MSRP, it comes with a shocking amount of cargo space - particularly in the back seat.
If the third row isn't being utilized, the captain's chairs can be folded flat to make more room and have other features become accessible.

"There's a house-style outlet back here in case anything needs to be charged," said Eddie.
"Which, to my knowledge, is the only EV right now that has that."
The outlet isn't the only thing that's unique to the EV9, as he points to the third row of seats.
"As far as I know, the EV9 is the vehicle with captain's chairs or a third row," he said.
There are a few EV SUVs that have a third row, like the Mercedes-Benz EQS, Rivian R1S, and the Tesla Model X, though the EV9 is the first to be considered affordable to a broader audience.
Therefore, the EV9 is considered the first "mainstream" EV SUV to have a third row, especially with captain's chairs, even with the model Eddie tested going for $79,000.
Aside from the plethora of buttons available that allow a driver to fold the seats, the revolutionary vehicle comes with another EV first.
"There's a button right here, it's an emergency release button for the hatch," he said.
"And to my knowledge, this vehicle is the only vehicle that has that feature right now."
From the tailgate, two more buttons make EV9 ownership a lot more accessible.

"This button right here adjusts the tailgate height," he said, reaching for the handle.
"You use this handle to choose the maximum height and then hold down this button and the car will keep the tailgate at that height."
