THE ‘real reason’ Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu landed her Celebrity Big Brother spot has been revealed, after show bosses met several Love Island stars.
Turkish actress Ekin-Su, 29, who found fame on Love Island in 2022, is currently enjoying her next reality TV stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
And it turns out her split from Love Island beau Davide Sanclimenti may have helped her to secure a spot in the iconic house, as revealed by a source.
The source said: “They weren’t 100% sure on Ekin and had meetings with others from Love Island too initially, but when they found out she had split with Davide they booked her that day.
“They feel like she is different when she is with Davide, she wasn’t herself and they were worried she would hold back if she went in while she was still with him.”

The source continued: “They wanted fun, single Ekin, so as soon as they learnt she was a free agent, they swooped in.”
The Sun have approached ITV and Ekin's rep for comment.
Ekin-Su entered the famous compound on Monday night, and is now living with the likes of Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith, Sharon Osbourne, and Louis Walsh.
Before she stepped into the house, she was grilled by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best.
Ekin - who split from Davide earlier this year - couldn't help taking a cheeky swipe at her former love.
It came about when host Will asked her about her "ideal housemate", to which the reality star replied: "Loyal."
Ekin's sly dig could be in reference to Davide being linked to an OnlyFans model in the run up to their break up.
It came after model Sylvija Vasilevska liked posts of Davide on a skiing holiday with Ekin-Su - who was missing in the snaps.
Ekin-Su was also spotted liking tweets that called Davide's loyalty to her into question.

After weeks of speculation, Ekin-Su and Davide announced they had broken up.
Since being in the CBB house, Ekin-Su opened up to Fern Britton about only having two friends on the outside.
The Love Island winner appeared emotional as she said how “hard” she finds being “strong” all the time for her loyal following, and “having to hide her emotions.”
Ekin said she'd get home from appearances and meeting fans at night and cry on the phone to her mum.
Reality star Ekin explained: “I just sometimes feel like I can’t find someone to talk to if I have sad days.
“I’m always the one giving advice and helping people but I find it hard to find someone on my phone that I can just call and say ‘do you know what, I feel really sad today.’”
Ekin-Su continued to talk about the sudden and overnight fame that had come off the back of Love Island, leading her to say she “doesn’t know who to trust,” and how she has “lost friends” in the process.
Fern then asked: “Do they look at you differently, your old friends?”
To which Ekin-Su replied: “Yeah, I’ve only got two or three friends now, which is fine. I don’t really talk to a lot of people about it.”
Fans were saddened to hear Ekin-Su admit to only having two or three friends.
