Lionesses goalkeeper Mary Earps is set to swap kit manufacturer Adidas for German rivals Puma after the 31-year-old put pen to paper on a new multi-year deal.

The two-time FIFA Best Goalkeeper has reportedly made the switch after fielding interest from several brands, according to the Daily Mail.

By signing with Puma, Earps joins several goalkeepers who have signed with the sporting brand, including England team-mates and fellow goalkeepers Ellie Roebuck and Khiara Keating. Puma also sponsors Manchester City and Brazil's Ederson.

While women's goalkeepers have historically struggled to attain lucrative brand sponsorships, Puma have been a trailblazer in the area. Earps was spotted wearing Puma goalkeeping gloves and clothing in recent training sessions for both club and country.

The competition within the England squad for the No 1 spot has ratcheted up with the in-form arrivals of Manchester City's Keating and Chelsea's Hannah Hampton.

Even so, Earps looks set to remain the European champions' No 1 as Sarina Wiegman's side embark on their Euro 2025 qualification campaign on Friday.

The World Cup Golden Glove winner made headlines last summer amid a controversial row with manufacturing giant Nike, who refused to sell replicas of her goalkeeping shirt for commercial reasons with remarkable consequences.

The shot-stopper's loyal fanbase eventually created such an uproar that Nike spectacularly U-turned on their decision and put Earps' shirt on sale after the tournament. The first batch of kits sold out in record time in October and a second batch sold out at similar break-neck speed two months later.

Earps' star has continued to rise, with the Manchester United star being the subject of a world-record bid for a women's goalkeeper last year. Her contract with United is set to expire this summer and despite an ongoing saga which has dragged for months, Earps is expected to depart the club as she bids to compete regularly in the Champions League.
