Yet despite finishing his three rounds with an impressive eight under par, it was a moment of rage that went viral on social media.
After a disappointing drive narrowly missed the fairway, Hatton could be heard furiously ranting.
And the live coverage astonishingly stayed with him despite viewers clearly hearing his expletive-ridden remarks.

He said: "F***ing what a w*** bounce that was.
"If it f***ing bounces left it's fine. "F*** you, f***ing c***."
During the choice language, the camera even zoomed in on Hatton as he threw away his tee in frustration.
And those on X were left in stitches at Hatton - who is known as one of the angriest golfers in the sport.
One golf fan said: "Tyrell is the most relatable sportsman of the modern era."

A third replied: "This is the single best moment in the history of LIV."
And a fourth responded: "A round of golf with him would be priceless. Add Rahm and Dahmen and you got must-see TV."
Hatton finished three shots adrift of South African Dean Burmester and Spain's Sergio Garcia - both of whom ended Sunday's round on 11 under.
