It can be seriously tough to get on the property ladder these days, but this two-bed gaff could be yours for just £161,608 - you'll just have to get your head around one baffling feature first.
Saving up for a mortgage can be a real slog; it can feel as though you're fighting a losing battle looking for a property within your price range. When viewing properties, you have to keep in the back of your mind that the house won't look like this forever and you can make it your own once the keys have been handed over. But even the most creative of prospective owners are sturggling to forgive the strange decor in this "fake Lego house".
Spotted by baffled Reddit users, every room in this 'headache house' in St. Kevin Square, Cork, Ireland, is covered in fake brick wallpaper - spanning everywhere from the living room to the kitchen, to both the bedrooms, and the bathroom too.
The two-bedroom property is covered from floor to ceiling in every shade and shape of faux brick you could imagine - from dark brown to stark white.
According to the listing by Private Treaty, the unusual-looking house has been installed with all new furniture and fittings. "This house is installed with a new bathroom, basin, and toilet and cabinet", the listing reads.
'My wife wants to change our four-year-old's name but I think it is too late'It continues: "The bedroom has new rugs and wall shelves, and the kitchen is equipped with an electric stove and a remote-controlled light.
"The house also offers new carpet on the stairs and landing, a new roof and insulation, new Velux glass windows, a new dining table and chairs, a new fridge, washing machine, cooker, microwave, shelves, curtains, and blinds."
People simply can't get past the decor, however, as Redditors have not held back with their hot takes on the property. One person penned: "It's so busy! When do my eyes get a rest?", with another pointing out it was "everywhere". "What a sad day to have eyes", someone else joked.
