Carmen and Lupita Andrade went viral as a pair of candid conjoined twins.

They got real about what life is truly like for them, living in unusual circumstances. The sisters didn't shy away from telling all when they hosted a Q&A to help put to rest some of the most frequent questions that they receive. Lupita, known for being the more unhinged of the two, said: "We're gonna do a FAQ, cause some of you can't shut the f**k up."

Linked at the waist, Carmen and Lupita have separate upper-torsos, shoulders, and heads, meaning they have their own thoughts, opinions, and identities. Carmen emphasized just how separate they are, having different ID's and social security numbers. In They decided to answers the basics, regardless of just how invasive the prodding really is.

While they have separate legal identities, how the law would handle a situation where they have done something wrong, they aren't quite sure. If one of them murdered someone, many are curious as to how jail time would potentially work. However, they didn't have much insight to give. Carmen said: "Never been through that process, so how would we have that kind of knowledge?"

'We're still two different people,' Carmen reminded followers. 'So we have two separate ID's and ID numbers and social security The underlying point that the pair communicated is that they aren't the same person. "If one of us is tired, we both don’t have to both be tired because we have two separate brains," explained Carmen. "Yes, one of us can be awake and one of us can be asleep because, again, different brains. We are two separate people."

Each half of conjoined twins control their own individual limbs. Lupita explained that they can't control the other's. Some basic functions as people are a bit more difficult and required a learning curve for them. Carmen explained: "Yes I can drive. I have the right foot so I drive."

While they have separate limbs, their bloodstream is shared, so getting drunk affects both of them, but their hunger cues are separate. Carmen and Lupita have different stomachs, but the nutrients they process filter into that same bloodstream. That shared bloodstream, though, has a dark downturn, too.

If one of them dies, they both would face the same fate. Carmen explained: "We share a bloodstream, so eventuallysepsis will kick in and obviously within hours or days the other one will die, but we’re not dead, so why always ask us that?"

As for sex, they left quite a bit to the imagination. They did explain that they share a reproductive system, but the physical act of sex was left vague. "So you do the math of your weird inappropriate questions about sex," Carmen said. This is something they've needed to deal with considering that Carmen does have a boyfriend, Daniel. She admitted that the pair met on Hinge, but she didn't hide her conjoined twin and said that brought a lot of guys with fetishes into her DMs.

Her boyfriend, though, was different. Carmen said: "He didn’t lead with a question about my condition. I have social anxiety, and I’ve ended up canceling dates at the last minute, but I felt calm on the way there."

Lupita, on the other hand, is asexual and not attracted sexually to others. Daniel and Lupita keep a platonic relationship and get along well. "It’s funny because I stay up later than Lupita, but when Daniel’s sleeps over, I fall asleep quickly — and he stays up talking with her," Carmen added. No one involved wants children, so that resolves that issue pretty easily.
