Khloe Kardashian's social media has been flooded with "condolences" amid the death of OJ Simpson following wild conspiracy theories that he was her real father.
The 39-year-old reality star was an unexpected subject of sympathy on April 11th after the shocking news that retired NFL star OJ passed away from cancer at the age of 76. In the wake of his death, fans took to Khloe's Instagram comments jokingly sharing words of encouragement for the star as she has faced years of speculation about their relationship.
And while OJ has openly denied the claims that he is her father, Khloe was still met with a flood of sarcastic comments poking fun at the rumours. Despite the speculation, it has been confirmed that Khloe is the daughter of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian. She did, however, have a close relationship with OJ during her childhood and Robert defended OJ during his high-profile 1995 murder trial.

One person wrote: "So sorry to hear about your dad passing due to cancer. I can't imagine what you're going through." Another commented: "You on vacation and your daddy done gone to glory!!!" And a third wrote: "Its not easy losing a parent!! Stay strong beloved."

The theories that Khloe was biologically related to OJ ran rampant after rumours that OJ had an alleged fling with her mother Kris during the 1990s. The speculation grew so strong that OJ publicly addressed the rumors denying that he was related to Khloe and shot down speculation that he had a romance with Kris.

Bad, you know, tasteless."
And while it has been denied that OJ is her biological father, the two did share a close-knit relationship when she was younger with reports that Khloe used to call him "Uncle OJ" and his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson her "Auntie Nicole." The Kardashians star was just nine years old when OJ went on trial for the alleged murder of his wife. In memory of Nicole, Khloe's mother paid tribute to their close family friend by giving her daughter Kendall Jenner the middle name Nicole.
