Arsenal are preparing for a huge clash with Aston Villa on Saturday as they look to retain their hold on top spot.
The Gunners are only ahead of title rivals Liverpool on goal difference, but have the chance to temporarily pull three points clear of the Reds. While they still have seven games of their season to go, boss Mikel Arteta's attention is already turning to the summer.
Arteta is preparing for a busy summer and has now sanctioned a transfer for wonderkid Charlie Patino. That news comes as Cesc Fabregas tipped the Gunners to launch a dynasty if they win the title this season.
And Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has been nominated for an award amid his impressive season. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Arsenal news.
Arteta sanctions Patino transfer
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is expected to sanction the permanent departure of wonderkid Charlie Patino. The midfielder has made just two senior appearances for Arsenal, scoring on his debut against Sunderland in December 2021.

With little chance of a long-term future at his parent club, Patino is now preparing to leave permanently. And Arsenal are also aware of his ambitions to leave, with Arteta ready to sanction his departure.

Odegaard up for award
Gunners captain Martin Odegaard has been nominated for the Champions League Player of the Week award. Odegaard played all 90 minutes of the draw with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
The Norwegian will battle it out with Manchester City's Phil Foden, Barcelona star Raphinha and Antoine Greizmann from Atletico Madrid. Odegaard has impressed since taking on the armband and has admitted it is an honour.
He told Versus : "I think the club just suits me with the culture we’ve built here and everything we’re doing together: the fans, the players, and the staff. Everyone is just so together now, and I think that's one of the key things to our success."
Fabregas issues title tip
Former Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has insisted that a Premier League title this season could inspire Arteta's side to greater success in the coming years. The Gunners are top heading into the final seven games of the campaign and Fabregas believes they have a bright future.
“Obviously you can imagine what it will mean," said the Spaniard. "More than just winning a title but the belief will be back, the trust between the players and the staff and the fans and the whole club.
"The family that was there when I was there will be back, the moments of ‘we are strong and we know we can win’; at the moment it is a little bit ‘are we ready are we not’? If they can manage to win the first one, I believe it could become a constant threat for Arsenal to be challenging for all the top titles.”
