Gypsy Rose Blanchard's marriage to Ryan Scott Anderson has come to a sudden end after the pair tied the knot while she was behind bars, with married life ending before it even properly began outside of prison.

32-year-old Gypsy, tied the knot with school teacher Ryan Scott Anderson, 37, while behind bars. The couple then united when she was given her freedom from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri after being jailed following the murder of her abusive mother.

Gypsy Rose served eight years of her 10-year sentence and wed Ryan in July 2022 in a jailhouse ceremony after meeting in 2020, with them united in December 2023 and beginning married life together. But things didn't go to plan for the couple, with Gypsy reportedly announcing their split on a private Facebook account recently, with details of her divorce filing now unveiled.

Also in the documents, Gypsy reportedly said that she wants Ryan to pay her spousal support and blames him for their marriage breaking down. Gypsy has reportedly said that she "has a need" for monthly spousal support, and urged that Ryan "has an ability to pay".

She also reportedly stated that she wants to take back her maiden name, after taking his when they exchanged vows. The couple also reportedly "did not enter into a covenant marriage", which means they did not agree to have counselling before the couple decided to separate.

Radar also reports that the papers state that Gypsy has said the couple's divorce does not need to be sealed, which means many more revelations from the couple's short romance will likely emerge. Gypsy and Ryan met after he wrote her a letter while she was in prison. He penned and sent the letter in 2020, according to reports, with their relationship struck up soon after.
