A MAN is seriously ill in hospital after being stabbed outside a nightclub on New Year’s Day.
It’s understood that the victim, 20, was on a night out with pals to see in the New Year in Sanctuary, on Dumbarton Road, Glasgow, when he was attacked.

Cops say the man was rushed to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is in a “serious but stable” condition.
His pal, also 20, was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been released.

One man, who passed the scene said: “It must have been a New Year’s party gone wrong.”
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack, or who has any information about the incident, to get in touch.
Cops have said they are still hunting the attacker.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 20-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries, where his condition is described as being serious but stable.
“Enquiries are ongoing and police are encouraging anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact them via 101 quoting incident 0648 of 1 January, 2023.”
Chris Lessani, who runs the venue, told the Scottish Sun he was unable to comment.
