Peter Davison has shared a rare insight into his daughter's marriage to David Tennant.

The Beyond Paradise star, 72, is known for playing Anne's (Barbara Flynn) love interest Richard in the BBC drama. Viewers are eagerly waiting to find out if Anne's search for romance has been a dating disaster or if her dating app match is up to scratch. Peter's actress daughter Georgia, 39, is married to Doctor Who star David, 52, and admitted the family rarely watch each others work.

He confessed that even if they do watch their shows, "we don't comment on it". Sharing more about his daughter's marriage, he gave an update on their recent Easter break. Peter said he doesn't know if Georgia has had the chance to catch up on his Beyond Paradise role as she has been in California for the past two weeks.

"So she won't be catching up there," he shared to Hello! Magazine. "Whether she'll get round to sitting down and watching it when she gets back, I sincerely doubt. It's quite a busy life she's got these kids, all these things happen around bedtime and then I think they just collapse." Georgia met David on the set of Doctor Who, when she played Jenny in the 2008 episode The Doctor's Daughter. Her father, Peter also played the fifth iteration of the character from 1981 until 1984.

Opening up on their romance in 2020 on The Gaby Roslin Podcast, David said: "I thought we were an unlikely life partnership, I suppose. There is a bit of an age gap. Because Doctor Who had run through my life like a stick of rock, to end up marrying the daughter of one of the Doctors, it all felt a bit stupid... that wasn't really likely to happen. So there were a lot of things against it."

However, Georgia has claimed credit for sparking their romance - as she admitted she pursued him relentlessly. She told the podcast: “You couldn’t quite believe that’s why I was messaging you 400 times a day. You thought maybe I was lonely and wanted a chat… I very much fell into stalker category. Thank goodness I did though. I just made a decision, I thought, ‘This is going to be good, let’s do this, I’ll just persevere until he gives in.'”

They went on to marry in 2011 and Georgia paid a sweet tribute to her husband on their 10 year anniversary. She shared a snap from their wedding day and said: The happiest day followed by the happiest life. Thanks DT." The pair share five children together. Georgia has a 22-year-old son named Ty - who TV fans will recognise as a young version of Aegon II Targaryen in the HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon - from a previous relationship. David adopted Ty after he and Georgia married and he has adopted the Tennant surname. Together, David and Georgia welcomed their first daughter, named Olive, in 2011. They have three more children together, named Wilfred, Doris, and Birdie.
