Grimes has issued an apology to her fans following a chaotic performance at Coachella, pleading with them to 'please forgive me'. The singer experienced what many performers would describe as their worst nightmare - a set plagued by technical difficulties that left thousands of festival-goers disappointed.

The first half of the set went smoothly, but by the second half, everything had descended into chaos due to numerous equipment malfunctions beyond her control. The 36-year-old artist tried to explain the situation to the crowd, visibly angry as she shouted and shrieked into her mic during the show.

Once her panic had subsided, Grimes apologised to the audience and attempted to makeup for lost time.

While on stage, Grimes admitted: "All my tracks are double tempo and I can't do the math. They're borderline un-mixable, so the rest of my set won't be mixes but it'll still be fun."

Later, she provided more detail about the behind-the-scenes issues that led to the chaotic performance, assuring fans that she will do everything in her power to ensure her set runs "flawlessly" during the second weekend of Coachella, reports the Mirror US.

In a heartfelt apology posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, Grimes expressed her regret: "I want to apologise for the technical issues with the show tonight. I wanted to come back rly strong and usually I always handle every aspect of my show myself to save time this was one of the first times I've outsourced essential things like rekordbox bpm's and letting someone else organise the tracks on the sd card etc."

She continued by sharing that she had a "bad feeling" before going on stage and regretted not checking the CDs herself. Despite noticing something might be off, she confessed she didn't push for a double-check.

Grimes emphasised in her message that she normally takes charge of organising the files and assured fans that she would "not let such a thing happen again".

Reflecting on the incident, Grimes shared three key lessons: one: "If u want it done right, do it yrself", two: "be a c*** even if ppl feel bad", and three: "probably pretend it's fine and engage w the crowd rather than spend a whole show slumped over the desk trying to fix software when ur meant to be entertaining."

She ended her post with a plea for forgiveness: "Plz forgive me! Love, always."
